The more years that measure my time on this planet the more I realize how important each day, word, thought, gesture, act, and moment are impacting all of us in our lives. The significance of how we utilize and channel our energy consciously or unconsciously affects how we perceive and are perceived, how we love or appear indifferent, how we win or lose, how we live and how we die.
Will we ever know the consequences of our decisions or possibly benefit and suffer the karma of another’s work or choices made? A simple review of a life lived well, lived long, and/or lived in self awareness can easily assess its progress or purpose by reflecting on a few simple words chosen with the power of intention and reason. Exert genuine effort to learn something more than what appears before you in this illusion of the ego, the divisiveness of self, the complexities of the mind, and the limitations of the human body. Reflect on the words that follow and take a moment to ponder and examine the words of Socrates when he wrote “the unexamined life is not worth living.”
The power of One…is what bridges the gap between life and death not only in the physical world but between countries and people, cultures and wars, peace and welfare, love and hatred. I wonder how much of life has been lived when it has not been reviewed and considered ~ was the journey a learning experience or just one to get out of the way so bills could be paid, and looks could be altered and material wealth could be worshipped.
What decisions have you given power to in this lifetime whether or not you intended to do so? What power have you gained or lost in the blur of daily life ~ what do you have to show for your life that you have lived and, only you, alone know what decisions you have made. We use this power every day in every way whether we realize it or not we are still creating our lives, our dreams, our nightmares, our stress, our wars, our families, our friends, our jobs, our lack, our confusion, and our God.
